Through their vulnerability and the privilege of being welcomed into this space I have gained precious counselling experience and continue to do so.

I have worked with many issues including grief, cancer diagnoses, severe anxiety and depression, post-natal depression and traumatic births, life transitions, relationship difficulties including emotional and physical abuse aswell as trauma as an adult and as a child.

Approach

I am an integrative counsellor combining many models of therapy to suit each clients individual needs. I aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you can freely explore, grow and heal from the issues that have led you to therapy. Together through achieving self-awareness and personal growth, clients can develop effective coping skills to manage lifes ups and downs.

I strive to help clients understand and manage their thoughts, emotions and behaviours learning that what we think and feel influences our behaviour. Guiding you to recognise and manage unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with more helpful ones. Also to aid you in tackling personal challenges and make positive changes in your life, while improving self-confidence. Ultimately, therapy seeks to improve mental health, enhance well-being, and support individuals in leading more fulfilling lives.

Introduced to counselling as a teenager I learned of its positive impact which inspired me to train as a counsellor. I understand that beginning therapy and facing thinking patterns and behaviours that are not benefiting you can be overwhelming. I understand that individuals have unique life experiences and wishes and are truly the expert on their own lives. I believe a client's potential is found through a supportive and caring relationship between client and counsellor. Which is key to a positive counselling experience which I hope to provide to you as a client. If you are ready to begin counselling please feel free to book your first session with me
